When I asked Ms L why she wanted to do a boudoir shoot she explained that her birthday was just around the corner and wanted to treat herself to something special. She has a wonderful husband, who she loves dearly, and she has been a stay-at-home mom for the past 4 years. So finding time for herself has been very difficult to say the least. She knew that she was more than deserving of this experience to look and feel beautiful and that these images will be the perfect gift to herself (and her husband)!

I knew she was my PERFECT client!

During the pre-consultation we discussed the details and talked about the vision for the shoot. By the end we were both super excited and inspired about the session.

The day of the shoot was a very special day for her! It was not only her birthday but also a special date night with hubby to celebrate their wedding  anniversary.  She was understandably nervous but quickly loosened up under Tammy’s magic hands.

 

Ms L brought so many amazing outfits, including a few of her husbands personal items:) OMG….she was so much fun to photograph! While most women take a good 30 min to warm up, Ms L started to move with ease just after a few poses into the session.

That is always my favorite part of a shoot! When I see the client let go of the nerves, inhibitions and self-doubt and  start embracing the beautiful woman she is! It is magic… she was ready to do anything and try any pose no matter how hard it was…. well deserving  the afternoon nap she had to take after she got home:)

 

It was in a late evening when I met her and her husband to show the big reveal. I’ll be honest, I was a little nervous to have her husband present at the viewing. But I was super excited to hear how much they both LOVED the images! As a matter of fact, we did not even have to select the favorite images because Mr D, without hesitation, wanted to purchase them ALL, as well as a gorgeous leather album.

From this point on Ms L and I left her husband out of the album design to keep an element of surprise for him.

Ms L is a lady, who is truly admires & loves her husband! Not only was this experience a way to create a truly unique gift for her Husband for their anniversary but she was also able to celebrate and remind herself of the beautiful woman she is on her very on birthday!

The ultimate gift for yourself, if you ask me!
