Late September I received a phone call from Faith, who told me that she was battling with stage 4 duct bile cancer and she was looking to have a glamour photo shoot with her daughter and her closest family to celebrate her life. She wanted this shoot to be ALL about JOY and HAPPINESS…. a celebration of THEIR LOVE and THEIR FAMILY!

I will never forget that shoot. The laughter. The kisses and tight embraces! I have never been more present, I have never been so nervous about not delivering!

At her reveal Faith came with her husband. The three of us embraced and cried together as we watched the video and relived that special day. We never talked talking about the future but we all knew and felt the true value of these images even more. They had tears rolling down their cheeks as they lifted and touched every print from the wall….staring at each photographs for minutes at a time in silence… in awe!

Faith has passed on just 6 months after this shoot…. but she sure lives on in my heart and in my passion for what I do every single day.

This experience, Faith’s story has made the biggest impact on me as a photographer!

My wish is that Faith’s story be an inspiration to everyone, who hides from the camera or keep postponing having your pictures taken because of their insecurities.

The time is NOW to EXIST IN PHOTOS, with your children, FOR your children and loved ones.
